The Last Go Around

Today is our last meeting for my mentorship! Time flies when you are having fun! No, seriously, this experience was very fun, and I have learned so much from Coach Woodson. He agreed that even though I had reached the end of my required hours, we would continue our meetings, so I would become even more confident in dissecting film.

For the last meeting, we did something different. Coach Woodson had me take him through how I would introduce a prospective athlete through a visit. I went through the scenario step by step. He brought up certain instances, and I was able to correctly answer in relation to the tour. We went over some compliance information as well.

We then went into a football scenario. So, for this scenario, I had to present the dissection of the film as if I were preparing the film for meetings from a previous practice. I looked over the film multiple times. I created a set of notes and presented the issues/ mistakes I noticed that should be brought to the attention of the athletes. Completing this scenario, again I felt more confident.

After those two scenarios, we discussed our future meetings, how well this meeting went and etc. Again, this has been such a great experience even as a virtual experience.
