DEFENSE!! DEFENSE!!

But we just went over film yesterday! I am getting the feeling we are just going to have a week of going over film. Which is only going to make me more prepared!

So today, we began with Coach Woodson quizzing me on the positions. During this meeting, we began to dissect the film. Coach Woodson led the dissecting of the film. He went over different positions again as we looked over the film. We went over the different plays that were occurring as we watched the film. We went over who should have been doing what and how a coach would correct them during meetings and practice. Coach Woodson explains how he goes about correcting his athletes when he directs a meeting.

4 hrs:

In the second meeting of the day, we just went over the defense film again. It was a very relaxed meeting for me. Coach Woodson led the meeting again, dissecting random films explicitly focusing on the defense. I was able to take many notes and figure out how to separate defense and offense in my mind. Our time flies by looking at the time we spend dissecting the film and just the different questions I present, leading us to different topics in relation to his coaching experience.

I believe that any position that end up with being On-Campus Recruiting, Player Personnel, or Player Development the skills and knowledge that I am gaining is very beneficial toward my future career. I believe this will help me stand out from other candidates when I begin to apply for different positions.
