A Case of The Mondays

Of course, today we started with FILM…. Not how I planned the first meeting to go, especially since we went over defense a little last week. And Coach Woodson decided to make this a double film day.

He decided to go over defense during this meeting and since I have become a little more comfortable with offense, we would do offense later in the day. So we went over

WHEW. This session went way better than I expected. I am more knowledgeable than I thought on defense. After going over defense I believe it is vital to just simply understand the positions. So, as before with offense looking over the positions may have been very beneficial when understanding the formations. We spent a lot of time to go over the positions of defense and who does what. Coach Woodson had the brilliant idea of also quizzing me on the positions after spending time going over the positions. I did well. I believe when I complete things well it motivates me to continue to the next thing.

After completing the first meeting we recapped on some offense formations. It was much needed. As I mentioned in earlier posts, I believed I would get the different formations confused when we begin to go over them together. I just have to separate the two and go slower as I progress and become more proficient with going over film.
